Mansion on Mashkova Street 1
The building is located on a quiet street in the Chistye Prudy area. It is surrounded by elite residential complexes and high-end apartment houses, representative offices of large companies, and embassies. Within walking distance are the Sovremennik theater, the Moscow theater of Oleg Tabakov, and the memorial museum-apartment of Vasnetsov. There is convenient access to the Boulevard and Garden Ring Roads. Chistye Prudy Metro Station is an 11-minute walk away.
The mansion does not have any conservation status, but it has historical value. There, in the former merchant's house, Academician Chaplygin, one of the founders of modern world aero- and hydrodynamics, lived. The city manor of the 19th century was completely reconstructed, while the main house has retained its historical appearance.
