In the middle of the 19th century, the merchant's wife Popova bought the house, and the building was rebuilt to accommodate production. In 2022, the private cultural center Elohovskiy Gallery of entrepreneur Andrey Severilov opened in the building. The exhibition halls occupied the basement, as well as the space between Kuvshinnikov's house and the building of the Sarepta courtyard.
