Mansion at Presnenskiy Val Street 27

The three-story mansion with an underground level is situated on Presnenskiy Val Street in the Presnenskiy district. The building, constructed in 1907, underwent a full reconstruction. The red brick facade is designed in the Neo-Gothic style, reflecting the principles and techniques of industrial architecture from the late 19th to early 20th centuries. Inside, there is an open-plan layout without finishing, allowing for loft-style renovations using brickwork. Thanks to panoramic glazing and an atrium that permeates the building, the spaces are filled with natural light. The mansion is suitable for a rental business or for hosting a gallery, a restaurant, shops, or showrooms.

The building is located within the Republic residential complex. The surrounding area includes prestigious residential and sports complexes, medical clinics, museums, theaters, and parks. Within walking distance are the Belorusskiy Railway Station, the Tishinka Shopping Center, and the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. There is convenient access to the Third Ring Road and 1st Tverskaya-Yamskaya Street. The Garden Ring Road is a 9-minute drive away, while the Boulevard Ring Road can be reached in 14 minutes by car. The nearest metro station, Belorusskaya, is a 13-minute walk away.

The mansion is best known as the locomotive workshop. Along with two additional structures and a machine department, it is part of the Moscow-Alexandrovskaya Railway Workshop Complex. The buildings were constructed during the railway boom of the late 19th century. The Smolenskoe local council initiated the idea of building a railway between St. Petersburg and Moscow, which received approval from the Russian Emperor Alexander II. In 2019, the complex was included in the list of identified cultural heritage sites.
