The earliest documented records of this city estate date back to 1731–1741. Several land plots were combined by Ivan Ogolin, Adviser of the Kamer Collegium. Since 1820, the house belonged to State Councillor Pyotr A. Samsonov. The mansion was built on the stone lower ground floor of an earlier structure between 1813 and 1817. Despite being wooden, the building is plastered in such a way that it convincingly resembles a stone construction. The interiors preserve a three-flight staircase, stoves, and a fragment of the ballroom with columns. The vaulted rooms on the lower ground floor are also preserved. The Empire-style entrance gates between the house and the left wing, leading to the estate courtyard, remain intact. The building is currently recognized as a federal cultural heritage site.
