The mansion is nestled in the Krasnoselskiy district. It is surrounded by historic churches, cathedrals, cozy restaurants and cafes, banks, and shops. Nearby are the Central House of Culture of Railway Workers, the Modern Theatre, and the Center of Contemporary Art named after the Russian nonconformist artist Anatoliy Zverev. There is convenient access to the Third Ring Road, as well as Rusakovskaya and Krasnoprudnaya Streets. Krasnoselskaya Metro Station is a 5-minute walk away.
The mansion in the Rational Art Nouveau style was built in 1915. It was designed by architect Oltarzhevsky as an income-generating residential building. Some sources suggest that the house belonged to the Sadomov merchants. However, archival records indicate it was commissioned by the Buryonin family. Residential apartments were located in the building until the 2000s. The two symmetrical bay windows on stepped consoles remain preserved to this day and define the building’s distinctive appearance. Above the entrance, framed by elegant pilasters, there is a heraldic bas-relief depicting lions and a knight’s helmet. It is a symbol of the owners’ noble status.
